Our state of the art surgery suite is fully equipped for your pet's surgical needs. In all of our surgeries we want your pet's hospitalization to be as comfortable as possible. He/She will be on a warming blanket during the surgery which keeps the body temperature normal. To ensure your pet's anesthesia as safe as possible we offer the following:

  • We recommend blood-work panel done before surgery so we can tailor the anesthesia to your pet.
  • Anesthesia is monitored by a veterinary technician with the aid of a pulse oximeter and a blood pressure machine.  These machines measure oxygenation, heart rate, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure, letting us know when to increase or decrease anesthetic gas and IV fluid rate.
  • Our skilled veterinary assistants and technicians monitor your pet during and after anesthesia.
We offer a wide range of surgical procedure to assist your pet in it's health care needs:

*Soft Tissue Surgery:  Spay, neuter, declaw, mass removal, and bladder surgeries.

*Emergency Surgery:  C-sections, gastric dilatation and volvulus (twisted stomach, bloat), splenectomies, exploratory surgeries.

*Orthopedic Surgery: Cruiciate ligament repair, amputation, fracture repairs.

                     Laser Surgery

We are excited to offer laser surgery as an option to replace traditional scalpel surgery in most surgical procedures.  The laser promotes quicker recovery with less pain, swelling and risk of infection.  There is less bleeding which simplifies surgery and in some cases can reduce anesthesia needed in patients.
This device produces an extremely powerful and concentrated beam of light.  It has the unique ability to vaporize or 'erase' tissue and is so precise that it will remove only a few cells at a time.  The laser will kill any bacteria in its path and it also seals the lymphatics so there is much less swelling post operatively.
