Large Animal Hospital

Our hospital setting is equipped with two box stalls, a breeding/palpation stock, and two small pens. Each pen is equiped for intravenous fluid therapy. The large animal facility is equipped with anesthetic gas drops for surgical procedures that require general anesthesia of smaller livestock. The stocks provide a safe means of restraint for both staff and animals. Ample lighting and a cleaner environment result in better outcomes for challenging surgical conditions.

As a complement to routine on-farm care of sick animals, we offer large animal in-clinic services provide a high standard of care. Animals routinely come in to the clinic for the following services:

• Surgical correction of umbilical hernias
• Caesarian section
• IV dextrose drip for severe ketosis
• IV fluids/supportive care of dehydrated calves
• Flotation of down animals
• Radiographs
• Care of neurologic animals
• Laboratory testing utilizing our in-house lab
